講師陣の英会話

大西先生、クリスさん、ろーざさんの英会話部分を書きとってみましょう!(ときどき大西先生のギャグも書きとります。)

Opening

Roza: Hey everyone. Roza Akino here. Are you ready for another Friday review?

Chris: Chris McVay here. I’m always ready. OK, let’s get started.

Listening Challenge
Monday

Roza: OK, everyone. Here is the first question. Which shop did the woman visit?

  1. The shop her husband likes.
  2. The shop the man told her about.
  3. The shop she found.

Here we go.

Tuesday

Chris: Which of the following is true?

  1. The man enjoyed clearing the snow.
  2. The man slipped on the ice.
  3. The man learned how to make oshiruko.

Here we go.

Wednesday

Roza: Why is the girl getting nervous?

  1. Because she hasn’t practiced piano enough.
  2. Because she is afraid of making a mistake.
  3. Because she is playing in a recital for the first time.

Listen carefully.

Thursday

Chris: Which of the following is true?

  1. They often eat out.
  2. The husband is worried about the electric bill.
  3. The wife like the restaurant.

Listen up.

The husband is worried は、The husband was worried にも聞こえますね。

でも、大西先生の解説では現在形「夫は~怖い」だったので is ですね。

Practical Challenge

Roza: So guys, remember, practice is emotion. Have fun with it and be sure to say your sentences out loud for practice.

Chris: And another piece of advice I think is good, try to make your practice part of your everyday life.

Closing

Roza: So, speaking of presentations, I’m sure you must make a lot of them, right Chris?

Chris: Quite a lot actually, yes.

Roza: Do you have any tips for our listeners for making a good presentation?

Chris: Sure, there has lots of things we could say but for me the most important thing is to connect with the audience.

So, you should always speak with passion and make good clear eye contact with everybody in the room.

Roza: I definitely agree about the eye contact. That can be a very important point and make a difference in the impression you make with your presentation.

I would say, for the preparation, having bullet points really helps you talk as well.

Chris: Hum, good point.

there has lots of things は、昨日も似たようなのがあったのですが、there are lots of things に聞こえないので・・・。
