Opening

Onishi: Hey Roza, how is you uncle today?

Roza: Oh, you know my uncle?

Onishi: Ah, sorry, ancle.

Roza: My ancle is doing just fine. Thank you.

Onishi: Hey David, can you pronounce uncle and ancle?

David: Oh, yeah, yeah, no problem. Ah, uncle is your relative, and ancle is next between your leg and your foot.

Onishi: というわけですね。

ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

Roza: Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza.

David: And I’m David Evans.

Onishi: それでは、さっそく始めていきましょう。

Grasp the Concept
  • Let’s master English step by step.
  • We worked side by side to make it happen.
  • I’ll stand by you no matter what.

Roza: Excellent.

Practical Usage

これはディクテーションじゃなくて、自分の答えです。

Is this the first day for you? It’s OK. Take your pace. It’s OK to do step by step. I’ll work side by side. (時間切れ)

短い表現が多いですが、それぞれなかなか難しいですね

Pronunciation Polish 12:55

David: All right everyone, great work so far, and here we are finally at pronunciation polish. Let’s take a look at today’s sentence. “It’s getting better little by little” …

All right, today is a fun one. See, I speak American English and in American English, this t in the middle of a word like getting or better or little, we change this into a d-sound to make it smooth and easier to say, so let’s fucus on each of these examples, master them and practice together. Here we go.

getting … all right good work, now better … very nice, next up is little … it’s a little tough with that l-sound but do your best, little, all right, now let’s put these together. getting better … little by little … excellent, all right, now put it all together,

  • It’s getting better little by little.

Oh, fantastic, and so are you.

today’s is fun one かも

Ending

Onishi: I’ll stand by you no matter what.

David: Ah, Sensei, thank you so much. That means so much to me.

Onishi: Oh, what are you talking about? I’m just practicing.

David: Ah, not again.

Roza: Ah, Sensei, your “I’m practicing”s are getting more difficult to catch little by little.

Onishi: All right, little by little. みなさん、発音しっかりと練習してくださいね。というわけで、今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye.

複数形の s がくっついてますね
