Practical Usage

これはディクテーションじゃなくて、自分の答えです

It was hard to accept being closed the favorite TV program. This was so excellent. At least, it's natural to have extra 1 season. Actors should deserve more.

けっこう違いますね。意図は通じると思いますが、、、

Pronunciation Polish 12:30

Roza: All right guys, you know what you deserve? a great pronunciation polish corner. Here we go. Today's sentence is "I received the 'Employee of the Year' award" ...

Today we'll be focusing on mainly one point and that's the weakened d at the end of received and award, so let's practice together. Repeat after me.

received the ... Year award ... Employee of the Year award ...

All right, are you ready to do the full sentence? Here we go.

  • I received the "Employee of the Year" award.

All right, now let's go little bit faster.

  • I received the "Employee of the Year" award.

Feel that rhythm.

  • I received the "Employee of the Year" award.

That was so good. I'm so proud of you.

Ending

Onishi: さぁ今回の Practical Usage もかなり難しい問題でしたね。もちろん、解答例そのままでなくてもいいんです。だいたいのところ、内容が伝えられたかな、、、そのぐらいのところでもう十分合格ですよ。がんばってこのコーナーを続けていくと、まとまった内容をそのまま相手にまとめて渡すことができるようになっていきます。辛抱強くがんばってくださいね。

Roza: That's right. This corner is not supposed to be easy. It's supposed to be difficult. And remember, even native speakers might not make the same exact paragraph that we show as the answers, so just keep going and do your best.

David: That's right everyone. What matters is that you do your best and keep trying. You'll get better. I promise.

Onishi: You receive "The Listener of the Year" award.

David: They definitely deserve it.

Onishi: というわけで、今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye.
