講師陣の英会話を書きとり(スクリプト)

大西先生、デイビッドさん、ろーざさんの英会話部分を書きとってみましょう!(大西先生のギャグもできるだけ書きとります)

Opening

Onishi: へぇ、ゴルフか。すてきですね。でもぼくは、コースに行くと、ボールを打つよりカメを探すのが好きなんですよね。わざとクリークに仕込んで、ボールをロストしたようなふりをしてですね、カメを探すんですよね。結構でかいのいるんだ、これ。

ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

Roza: 先生、そうとう友達いなかったですね。Akino Roza here.

David: And I'm David Evans. Anytime I'm on a golf course, I spend time looking for birds. You know, like eagles or an albatross.

Onishi: Oh, good one. それでは、今週もがんばっていきましょう。

しばしば出るイーグルと、めったに出ないアルバトロスで(出現頻度で)、複数形と単数形になっているようです

Practical Usage

これはディクテーションじゃなくて、自分の作文です

I'm very sorry to hear that. It must be tough. Do you have a backup? Maybe you can recover something from that.

Pronunciation Polish 12:55

Roza: Well guys, I'm not sorry to hear that it's time to practice our pronunciation. You ready? Today's phrase is,

  • I can't beat him these days.

Today we'll be focusing on the pronunciation of beat him, and days.

So, let's start with beat him. The two words are connected, so it sounds like this, repeat after me, beat him ... I can't beat him ... Great.

Now, let's practice these days, repeat after me. these days ...

All right, full sentence.

  • I can't beat him these days.

Excellent work. You ready for natural speed? Here we go.

  • I can't beat him these days.

All right, one more time with the frustrated feeling. Ah ...

  • I can't beat him these days.

How did you do? Hope you had fun. You are doing great. I'm proud of you.

Ending

Roza: You know Sensei, I really wish there was an equivalent for "remind me to" in Japanese. I mean, I use "remind me to" a lot in English but "思い出させて" just sounds weird.

Onishi: "思い出させて"って、なかなか言わないんですよね。うん、日本語にはあまり、適正な表現はなさそうです。I'll think about it.

David: Be sure to remind him later. He'll forget.

Roza: 分かった、思い出させてあげますよ。

Onishi: というわけで、今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye!
