David: OK everyone. It's time for today's pronunciation polish. Are you ready? Let's dive right in. Here is today's phrase.

You can probably hear we've got lots of words joined together. It's smooth. So, let's zoom in and practice each part.

First up, let's take got + a. It sounds like this, got a. The /t/ becomes a /d/ sound. got a ... I've got a. All right. Very nice.

Next, lot + on, again, sounds like this. lot on ... let's put them together, got a lot on ... I've got a lot on.

Next up, we'll take the /t/ sound at the end of plate and make it disappear. plate ... my plate, a lot on my plate, got a lot on my plate.
