ここ、最初 it が抜けてたのですが(what day did you say was)、ツィッターで教えてもらいました。

Say it in English

It takes a long time to learn a language. I think it’s a good idea to listen to Radio Eikaiwa every day. You can say “Persistence pays off.”

I know, I can finish my work off now. It takes only 15 minutes from here to the hotel by taxi. We can be there at the time.

そうだ、let’s call it a day だった。あとは make it in time か。

Ending

Ohnishi: Hey guys, when did you feel that it’s true that persistence pays off?

Chris: Well, when I was at uni, I wanted to join the university table tennis team, but when I went to the trial – I failed, and the second trial – I failed, but the third time – I beat those guys and I got chosen to represent the university, so for me, persistence payed off.

Ohnishi: Hum, how about you, Roza?

Roza: For me, actually it was when I was starting to do nihongami, I would do nihongami once a week, every week for over two years, and finally it started to look nice.

Ohnishi:

All: Bye!
