Opening
Ohnishi: 最近、リアルタイムを短くしてリアタイって言うことって、ありますよね。まぁネットとかでですねぇ、リアタイっていう文字を見るとですねぇ、ぼくはいつも、リタイアって読み間違えるんですよね。
Roza: 先生、疲れているのね。
Ohnishi: ありがとう。
David: いや、好かれてるよ。
Roza: うん。
Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
Roza: Akino Roza here.
David: And I’m David Evans.
Ohnishi: さぁそれでは、さっそく始めていきましょう。

David: OK everyone. It’s time for the practice, and today we are keeping up with, ah, praise theme.
Roza: As we’ve mentioned in the past, you’ll notice that in some of these sentences, you can really notice the important words being emphasized. So, keep in ear up for that.
David: All right. Here is our first.
- I knew I could count on you.
Roza: Do you see how David emphasized “knew”? OK, let’s try a couple more.
- You’ve got what it takes.
- You have what it takes.
Here I emphasized “got” and “have”.
David: OK, here is a few more.
- You’re the best coach there is!
- You’re the best English teacher there is!
- You’re the best cook there is!
Roza: Excellent. OK, one more.
- You’re the GOAT.
David: Got be careful, not to say “You are a goat” there, right?
Roza: Very important point, David. Excellent work, guys.
David: Great job.

Roza: Sensei, you are working all the time. It’s only natural that you are tired.
Ohnishi: Oh, thank you Roza. What you just said ??? means a lot to me.
David: Roza, by any chance, are you just practicing?
Roza: sh, don’t tell him that.
