David: ... it's review time. Hi everyone. I'm David Evans.

Onishi: それでは、さっそくはじめていきましょう。

Listening Challenge
Monday

David: OK, let's review this week's dialogs.

Roza: Listen to the questions and pick which one of the three options is the correct answer.

David: Let's start with Monday's dialog.

Roza: OK guys, here is the question.

What kind of product are Richard and the woman talking about?

  1. A doll that sold well in Japan.
  2. A toy that Richard knows well.
  3. A product that is already been sold in America.

Here we go.

・・・・・

How did you do? Let's check out the question one more time.

  1. The school festival.
  2. The math homework.
  3. Jessica.

Listen up.

All right. How was that? Let's check out the question one more time.

What is Jennifer worried about?

  1. Theo is starting to like reading more than golf.
  2. She might become worse at golf than Theo.
  3. Theo does not hang out with friends very much.

Listen carefully.

・・・・・

How was it? Here is the question one more time.

What did the man suggest to Justin?

  1. Considering new payment options.
  2. Reducing payment options.
  3. Cutting costs.

Here we go.

・・・・・

All right. How was that? Let's check out the question one more time.

Say It in English

これはディクテーションじゃなくて、自分の答えです。

Roza: OK, here is the first situation.

Why did you buy me flowers? I didn't ask for flowers. I said flour for making cakes.

But these flowers are very beautiful. Thanks. Next time, please listen to me carefully.

David: All right, let's move on to the next situation.

Don't get me wrong. I didn't forget to buy flour for cakes. Here it is. Right?

I just thought you would be happy if you see flowers after the stressful week that you passed.

Ending

Onishi: Hey guys, buying flowers is so cliche, isn't it? ちょっとべたですよね、これ。

David: Wait, wait. Is it, is it really, hold on. Roza, is that true?

Roza: Oh, yeah, totally. I mean, I'm not really a flower girl. Buy me a raspberry bush or blueberry bush, something I can eat.

David: Oh, man. OK, well, that's a problem. Everything is starting to fall into place. I've been buying flowers for years.

Onishi: Right. というわけで、今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye.
