Opening
Ohnishi: いやぁ出かける前のお化粧20分かぁ、大変だなぁ。
Roza: 先生はお化粧しないんですか？
Ohnishi: 僕は石鹸ですべすべ、つやつや。
ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here.
Chris: Hi guys, Chris McVay here. But listen, I’m not ready. I’m putting on my make-up.
Roza: Chris, this is the radio. You don’t need make-up.
Chris: All right, it’s OK then, let’s start.
Ohnishi: さぁそれでは今週も、がんばっていきましょう。

Chris: It’s practice time. Are you ready guys? Today, we are focusing on keep. Well, the key image here is continuation. So, for example, you guys are listening to our program now, right? So, I would say to you, “Keep listening to our program.” Don’t change channel, don’t do anything, just continue. That’s the feeling for all the examples we are going to practice. Here we go, “keep running”, “keep crying”, “keep raining”, “keep going”.
Roza: A few more, “keep a dog”, “keep a secret”, “keep the law”, “keep your word”, “keep a promise”.
Chris: And some more, “keep quiet”, “keep warm”, “keep right”, and another, “Keep at it.”
Roza: Now, here is one from the dialog, “What’s keeping you?”
Chris: OK, and a last few, “keep your hat on”, “keep it inside”, “keep me going”, “Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Great job guys.
Roza: Keep up the great work.
Chris: Yes, keep at it.
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey Roza, do you put on make-up when you go out?
Roza: Usually I do. What about you, guys?
Ohnishi: Ah, using soap is good enough for me.
Chris: Yeah, I agree, just a good quality soap, that’s enough.
