Opening
Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
さぁ皆さん、英語の学習、用意はいいですか?
Roza: あぁお腹空いた、I’m hungry. Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza.
Chris: Hi guys. Chris McVay here. Well, I don’t care of you are hungry Roza, because what I want to know is, did you notice that I changed my hairstyle?
Roza: I thought something was different, you look very dashing today.
Chris: Let’s get started.
Ohnishi: それでは、がんばっていきましょう。
ダイアログ和訳の後 4:35
Roza: Well, if you guys are hungry for some more English, I suggest you check out the textbook.
Ohnishi: Are you hungry?
Practice 10:17
Chris: OK guys, it’s time for practice. Now, what is the basic image of among? Well, I can’t do any better than Ohnishi-Sensei’s ごちゃごちゃー … something very unclear, mixed in among all that. So, with that image, let’s practice together.
Roza: And remember, think in English.
Chris: “There she is, among the crowds coming through the gate.” So, you can visualize all these crowds coming through the gate … here she is.
Roza: Here is some more examples, “among the applicants”, “among all these people”, “among the mountains”, “among the rich”, “among the injured”.
Chris: OK, let’s keep going with that same basic image in mind, after me, “Discuss among yourselves.” And one more, “Talk among yourselves.”
Roza: And the last view, “among other things”, and the last one, “among the best golfers”.
That was excellent.
Chris: OK, and I know you are all among the best students, right?
through the gate her みたいに聞こえますね。
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey guys. I’m so hungry. Let’s go for lunch.
Chris: Yeah, good idea. I’m starving.
Roza: Yeah, I’m famished.
・・・・
Ohnishi: というわけで今日はこの辺で。
All: Bye.
