Opening
Roza: Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza. Welcome back to our lesson. I haven’t been here in ages.
Chris: Hi guys. Chris McVay here. You know, Sensei’s introduction reminded me of a dance. Can you imagine? Cha-cha-cha … change and challenge … cha-cha-cha.
Ohnishi:
“craving” 2:45
Ohnishi: So, what’s the nuance of this craving?
Roza: Well, actually, craving is a really interesting word. And I enjoy using it because it has that very strong feeling like, I’m craving some pickles, I’m craving some watermelon, I’m craving some cheese, I just can’t think about anything else.
Chris: Yeah, it’s almost as strong as an addiction, if you like.

Practice 10:00
Chris: It’s practice time. Let’s continue practicing for. For is great because it has lots of possible combinations. Today, let’s focus on purpose. Here we go.
Roza: And remember, think in English.
Chris: OK, “I’ll have something else for a change.”
Roza: Here is a couple more, “What did you do that for?” Here two, you see the purpose at the end, right? “What did you do that for?” “What for?” A simpler version, let’s try once more, “What for?”
Chris: OK, some more, “for a rainy day”, “for sale”, “for the purpose of ~”, and finally, “for the sake of ~”.
OK, so, why are we doing all this practice, Roza?
Roza: For the sake of improving our English, of course.
Chris: That’s right. Well done, guys.
Roza: Excellent.
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey, I’m craving for アジフライ. How about you?
Chris: I’m craving for a croissant.
Roza: Ah, I have a really strong craving for ウニ.
All: Bye.
