Opening
Ohnishi: 微妙にシャレになってしまい、何を言っているのかよく分からない会話。「インド料理行ったの」「ナンだって？」
ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
Roza: ナンの話ですか？Akino Roza here.
Chris: Chris McVay here. Wow, we are getting so close to the end of the year. Time flies, doesn’t it?
Roza: You can say that again.
Ohnishi: さ、飛んでいかないように、さっそく始めていきましょう。

Chris: OK, it’s practice time again. Today, we are looking at the word “any”. The basic image of “any” is freedom of choice. If you imagine a magician doing a typical card trick, he might say, “Pick a card, any card”, so you can choose whichever of the 52 cards. That image might help you when you want to use this word “any”. Let’s practice together.
Roza: And remember, think in English.
Chris: “anyone”, “anybody”, “anything”, “anywhere”, “anytime”. You can feel the freedom already, right? “Does anyone have any questions?”
Roza: Can we go on to the next few examples?
Chris: Sure, anytime.
Roza: “I don’t like any sports.”
Chris: “John is taller than any other boy in his class.” Once more, “John is taller than any other boy in his class.”
Roza: And our last example, “I don’t like any of their songs.”
Chris: Not even one?
Roza: Not even one.
Chris: Huh, well done guys. Good practice.
Roza: I hope you liked our examples. That was great.
