Opening
Roza:
Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here.
David: And I’m David Evans. It’s nice to finally get to work with someone in the same profession as me.
Ohnishi:

Practice 8:50
David: OK everyone. It’s time for the practice. Now for these, we have some very frequently used questions, “What do you want to be?” The question is, assured should I say this clearly, or can I blend and shorten the sounds. The key to this answer is, who is speaking?. This is a guidance counselor, so they are not going to use the casual, fast, blended sound. So, when we practice today, instead of “What do you wanna be?”, let’s practice a nice formal pronunciation “What do you want to be?”, OK?
Here we go.
- What do you want to be?
- What do you want to become?
- What are you going to be?
- What are you going to become?
Roza: Let’s continue.
- What’s your vision for yourself?
- What do you see yourself doing in the future?
David: Great work so far. Here are some more.
- Who do you want to be like?
- Whose success could you model yourself after?
- Whose success could you pattern yourself after?
- Who is someone that does what you want to do?
Roza: Well guys, you did so great that I can see you were becoming fluent English speakers in the future.
David: Great work everyone.
→ should I ~ですね。
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey guys, what was your major in college?
David: I majored in psychology, with the minor in business administration.
Roza: I majored in big-westology.
All: Bye.
