Roza: OK everyone. It’s time to practice. I wanna say that it’s important to add these little confirmation questions after you mention your plans to help include the other person in the conversation. So, let’s keep that in mind as we practice.
David: All right everyone. Let’s get to it.
- I’ll meet you at the station at 9:30. Is that OK with you?
- Will that work for you?
- Does that work for you?
- I’ll meet you at the station at 9:30. Is that convenient for you?
Roza: Great. Let’s try a few more.
- We are planing to have dinner around seven. What do you say?
- What do you think?
David: OK, and let’s try a few more.
- I’ll wait for you in the lobby. Sound good?
- That work?
- That work OK?
- Will that do?
Roza: Fantastic work, everyone.
David: Really good job.
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey David, the plan is, I eat and you pay. How does that sound?
David: Oh, sounds good … wait. That sounds like what I say to you.
Roza: You know, guys. That’s not really fair either way, you know, the only fair thing here is “I eat and you guys pay”.
Ohnishi: なるほど、払わさせていただきます・・・というわけで、今日はこの辺で。
