Ohnishi: So, “everything will come right” in situation one is British English, right?
Roza: That’s right. In American English, you would say “everything will turn out right” or “everything will be all right” or even “everything will turn out OK”.
Chris: Yes, it’s definitely British English and we can also say “come good”, so there is so much variety in British English, don’t you think?
・・・・・
Ohnishi: この辺で終わりにしましょう。
All: Bye!
まとめると・・・・
どっちがバラエティに富んでいるか、はよく分からん。^^;
British English:
- everything will come right
- everything will come good
American English:
- everything will turn out right
- everything will be all right
- everything will turn out OK
