“Leave me alone.” 8:43
Chris: That’s another expression I use a lot with Ohnishi-Sensei.
Practice 9:00
Chris: OK guys, let’s practice together. Now, we’ve often mentioned the importance of catching the native speaker’s rhythm. And this is a chance to do that today. We are going to do, verb followed by object, followed by complement. One – two – three, one – two – three, like the key sentence, leave – verb, your valuables – object, unattended – complement. So, let’s practice that together, “leave the door unlocked”.
Can you feel that one – two – three? Now, open, “leave the door open”.
Roza: Next example, “leave it as it is”.
Chris: OK, another one, “leave it in”. Can you feel that music, パンパパン、パンパパン, “leave it in”.
And how about using out, “leave it out”.
Roza: And now my favorite. “Leave me alone.”
Chris: OK, well done guys, great practice.
Roza: Fantastic.
Ending
・・・・・
Roza: Let’s do our best.
Chris: Yes, this is our next to last lesson. I’m sure you’ve made great progress over all this year and had a lot of fun along the way.
Ohnishi: さぁそれでは、今日はこの辺で。
All: Bye.
Yes, this is our next to last lesson. I’m sure you’ve made great progress over all this year and had a lot of fun along the way.
これ、何だか1年の終わりのコメントみたいで違和感あるんですが、聞き間違いなのかな・・・。
