Opening

Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

いやぁ、アーノルドが出てきましたねぇ。

Roza: Huh, love is in the air, I think. Hey everyone. Akino Roza here.

Chris: Chris McVay here. Roza, I have a favor to ask you.

Roza: What’s that?

Chris: I’m just practicing.

Ohnishi: それではさっそく始めていきましょう。

ダイアログ和訳の後 4:18

Roza: Well guys, if you’d like to learn more about English, check out our textbook.

Practice 9:30

Chris: It’s practice time. Now, we talked about say which focuses on the words of a message, while tell focuses on the delivery of the message to a particular person. So, I want you to picture, holding a message in your hand and then, handing it over to somebody. OK? Now, let’s practice these.

Roza: And remember, think only in English.

Chris: OK, here we go, “Don’t tell him your phone number.”

Roza: Next example, “I told you to call me Arnold.”

Chris: Let’s continue, “He told me that ~.” So, there you can really feel the message going to this person, me … in this case, “He told me that” … and the message. One more time, “He told me that ~.”

Roza: Last example, “I can tell it’s a wig.”

One more time, guys, “I can tell it’s a wig.”

Excellent.

Chris: Good job again.

focus is on ~ かでちょっと悩みました。でもそうなら、whoes focus is on ~ になるべきかな。

Ending

Ohnishi: Hey guys, I lost some weight but don’t tell anyone about it.

Chris: If they saw you, they wouldn’t believe as anyway.

Roza: You know, honestly, I can’t tell if you are being serious or joking.

・・・

Ohnishi: じゃぁ今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye!
