Opening

Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

がんばっていきましょう。

Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here. Hey Chris, what does that sign say?

Chris: Oh, I can’t see it. It’s in Spanish, but never mind. Did I tell you I had a really delicious seafood paella when I was in Spain?

Roza: You didn’t.

Chris: I should have put it on a sign.

Chris McVay here.

Ohnishi: それではさっそく始めていきましょう。

下線を付けたところは自信ないです・・・。

ダイアログ和訳の後 4:08

Chris: Well, easy to understand explanations of English grammar or our textbook specialty, check it out.

Practice 9:30

Chris: OK guys. Ready for practice? Now today, we are looking at the verb say. And say is all about sending messages, giving information. Now, we don’t get messages or information only from spoken words, so it’s natural to use say for signs or letters or even graphs. So, with that in mind, let’s practice.

Roza: Well in that case, I say we do a practice only in English.

Chris: Well, if you say so. OK, let’s star, “say goodbye”.

The next one, “say thank you”.

And another one, “say sorry”.

Good.

Roza: Let’s continue. Repeat after me, “The letter says ~”, “The bible says ~”, “The figures say ~”.

Chris: OK, good. And they are not about the spoken word, right Roza?

Roza: That’s right.

Chris: OK, here we go. Another one, “It is said that ~”.

OK and one more, “He is said to ~”.

Roza: And the last view, “Let’s say ~”, “Just say ~”, “Say ~”.

Chris: OK, let’s say we end there, Roza?

Roza: Ah, great idea, Chris.

Chris: Well done, guys.

Ending

Ohnishi: Oh, I’m afraid it’s time to say goodbye.

Roza: I’m afraid it’s time to say goodbye.

Chris: I’m afraid it’s time to say goodbye.

All: Bye!
