Opening
Ohnishi: おー!
Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here.
Chris: Hi guys. Chris McVay here. Oh no, I think I made a lot of mistakes in my opening.
Roza: I didn’t hear any mistakes.
Chris: Ah, that’s OK, then.
Ohnishi:

Chris: It’s never too cold to try our textbook, and it will help you practice harder and harder.
Practice 10:05
Chris: OK let’s practice. Today we are going to look at connecting words that indicate a reason or cause of relationship.
OK? Let’s attack.
- I didn’t play so well, since I didn’t practice enough.
So here, we are focusing on “since”.
- I didn’t play so well, since I didn’t practice enough.
Roza: The next example will use “as”.
- I didn’t play so well, as I didn’t practice enough.
One more time,
- I didn’t play so well, as I didn’t practice enough.
Chris: OK, moving on,
- I didn’t practice enough, so I didn’t play so well.
Roza: And our last example with “and”,
- I didn’t practice enough, and I didn’t play so well.
Roza: I know you guys did practice enough, and you did very well.
Chris: That’s exactly right.
Ending
Ohnishi: Hey guys, can you play any musical instruments?
Chris: Actually, I just started learning to play the guitar.
Ohnishi: Really?
Chris: Yeah, and it’s much much more difficult than I thought.
Roza: What about you, Sensei?
Ohnishi: Yeah, I can’t play any musical instruments but I can use my fingers …
Ohnishi: Yeah, I can play some simple music, too.
All: Bye.
