Ohnishi: いやぁ、昨日田舎の母から電話がありましてね「ラジオでつまらないことを言うのはもうやめなさい」と言われたので今日からしばらく面白いオープニングは自粛です。

ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

Roza: ハハハ、あー、今の面白かったー。 Akino Roza here.

David: And I’m David Evans. I thought it was a perfectly fine introduction.

Ohnishi: さぁ、それではさっそく始めていきましょう。

Roza: So, the “I guess” here from Masami is … fine but 何か気になることがあるんだけど …  because she met an alien the other day.

David: OK everyone. It’s practice time. Are you ready to go?

Roza: I am.

David: Let’s start with a question and answer.

Roza:

• Hi, Lucy. It’s been a while.

David:

• Yes, too long.

Roza: OK, let’s continue to another question and answer set.

David:

• Hey, long time no see. What’s new?

Roza:

• Not much.
• Not a lot.
• Same old same old.

David: All right. Let’s keep going.

Roza:

• It’s good to see you again.

David:

• Good to see you too.
• You too.
• Same to you.

Roza: And here are some more examples.

David:

• Look who it is! How’ve you been?
• Well, I’ll be! How’ve you been?
• If it isn’t Onishi Hiroto! How’ve you been?

Roza: Ah, I wish it wasn’t Onishi Hiroto, but you guys did great.

David: Very good job everyone.

Ohnishi: As you can see, I don’t have gray hair.

David: Yeah, I have more gray heir than you, I think.
