Opening

Roza: Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza. It’s Friday, you know that means …

David: And I’m David Evans. It’s review time, yeah!

Ohnishi:

Listening Challenge
Monday

David: OK, let’s review this week’s dialogs.

Roza: Listen to the questions and pick which one of the three options is the correct answer.

David: Let’s start with Monday’s dialog.

Roza: OK guys, here is the question.

What is Jeannie’s wish?

  1. To design a coat.
  2. To talk to an AI.
  3. To become human.

Here we go.

Did you get that? Let’s go over the question one more time.

Tuesday

David: OK, now let’s move on to Tuesday’s dialog. Here is the question.

What does the man need to do?

  1. Go to the end-of-the-year party.
  2. Complete a form.
  3. Share space with Yayoi.

Listen up.

How did you do? Let’s check out the question one more time.

Wednesday

Roza: All right, next up, it’s Wednesday’s dialog.

What did the man find in the newspaper?

  2. News about an accident in Oxford.
  3. An advertisement looking for teachers.

Listen carefully.

How did you do? Let’s check out the question one more time.

Thursday

David: All right, and last is Thursday’s dialog. Let’s check with the question.

What are Mr. Emori and the woman looking at?

  1. Another miniature Kinkakuji.
  2. A lit up miniature Kinkakuji.
  3. The miniature Kinkakuji reflected in the pond.

Here we go.

All right, how was it? Let’s check out the question one more time.

Say It in English

Roza: OK, here is the first situation.

Hello, I’m in a hotel at Cape Ashizuri. Right now, I have enjoyed the open-air spring. The sunset is amazing. I’ve never seen such thing. I wish you were here.

David: All right, let’s move on to the next situation.

Yes, from next year. If I had started to listen to the Radio Eikaiwa following your advice two years ago, I would be confident more to speak English. But, it’s not too late to start. I will start tomorrow.

Ending

Ohnisni: Hey guys, it’s never too late to start learning English, right?

David: That’s right, it’s never too late.

Roza: Yeah, don’t dwell on what could have been, instead do what you can now. And remember tough on with it.

All: Bye.
