Ohnishi: コンサートかぁ・・・わたしはですねぇ、いつもコンサートに行くとですねぇ、トイレに行きたくなるのを警戒してですね、いつもはじっこに座っています。

Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here. Chris, I think Sensei’s opening was kind of a disaster actually.

Chris: Hum, I agree. (Coughing) I’ve had a bout of coughing. Chris McVay here. Let’s get started.

Ohnishi: それでは、今週もがんばっていきましょう。

Ohnishi: Hey guys, what’s the nuance of “bout” here?

Chris: Well, it’s a bit difficult but the origin is a circuit something that goes round and round and round, so in that case, is difficult to stop. And by extension, it’s used for boxing as you mentioned, also illness like a bout of the flu or in this dialog a bout of coughing.

Roza: Yeah, I would say that’s “a bout”, right.
