Opening
Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
さぁ今日も頑張っていきますよ。
Roza: Hey everyone. Akino Roza here. Are you desperate to listen to our program?
Chris: Hello everyone. I’m Chris McVay. Let’s put all our effort in today’s program, OK?
Ohnishi: さ、それではさっそく始めていきましょう。

Chris: OK guys, practice time. So, we are going to start practicing to. Now this is a very very basic image, it’s just pointing to something or … you can imagine an arrow zooming to this point. So, with that in mind, let’s practice together.
Roza: That’s right and remember to think in English.
Chris: Here we go, “went to London”, “went to my hometown”, “walk to the station”. You can see it’s very easy, pointing to the station, so to … walk to the station. Similarly, the next one, run … to the bus stop, “run to the bus stop”, and one more, “get to Phoenix”.
Roza: Continuing on, “known to many generations”. Here too, you can imagine known to … arrow … many generations. Let’s try one more time, “known to many generations”. Next one, “He is kind to ladies.” He is kind to who? ― to ladies, you are pointing at the ladies, right? “He is kind to ladies.” “He is polite to ladies.”
Chris: OK, a few more, “We won five to two.” “Chris is ten years senior to me.” “Chris is ten years junior to me.” And the last one, prefer math … point, point, point … to English, “prefer math to English”

Ohnishi: Hey Chris, tell me what subject did you like best when you were a high school student?
Chris: Well, you know, I’m highly intellectual, my favorite subject was PE, Physical Education.
Roza: What about you, Sensei?
Ohnishi: Yeah, PE, too.
Roza: 英語じゃないの？
Ohnishi: というわけで、今日はこの辺で。
