Opening
Ohnishi: Hey guys, what do you think when you see a crab? かに見て、どう思う?
David: Ah, that’s easy. I try to think how I can pick it up or catch it.
Ohnishi: How about you, Roza?
Roza: I just think how cute it is. What about you?
Ohnishi: いやぁ、体脂肪がなくてうらやましいなと思って。
ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。
Roza: Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza.
David: And I’m David Evans.

David: All right. Today’s practice uses the object, 目的語, and to不定詞, infinitives. Imagine the “to” is an arrow pointing from the object to an action, that’s a direction. All right? let’s try.
Roza: Repeat after us. him – to leave … him – to leave …
- I asked him to leave.
David: Good work, let’s keep going. me – to pull over … me – to pull over …
- The police ordered me to pull over.
Roza: Keep going. me – to join a gym … me – to join a gym …
- He convinced me to join a gym.
David: Unlock your potential.
Roza: Repetition is the key.
Both: Great work.

Roza: Hey Sensei, can you buy me a horse?
David: Oh, take us to lunch, would you?
Ohnishi: I’ll give you a definite no.
Roza: なんだ、ぜんぜん言えるじゃん。
