As always, let’s grasp the native speaker’s feeling when we practice. So, what is the feeling of “There’s”? It’s introducing some new or previously unknown information. So, the feeling is … There’s … what, what, are you ready for the new information? That’s how we should practice. Are you ready?

Ohnishi: So, the etymology of words is important, right? “Mc” in your sir name “McVay” means “son of”, doesn’t it?
Chris: That’s right. And that’s why etymology is really interesting. You dig deeper into the history of words and get to know them more deeply. So, “Mc” is the Gaelic ward for son of McVay. So, some other examples, Roza?
Roza: Well, ah, I can think of is … McAuthor and of course everyone knows McDonald, right?
Chris: Yeah.

etymology は「語源、語源学」です。初めて知りました。
dig deeper into ~ は、dig で合ってると思うのですが、ちょっと聞き取りにくいですね。
続くのが deeper か deeply か、ちょっと悩みましたが、deeper で合ってると思います。
Gaelic word は、先生の解説が無かったら多分分からないままだったと思う。
