Opening

Ohnishi: ラジオ英会話、ハートでつかめ英語の極意、講師の大西泰斗です。

さぁ今日は金曜復習回、がんばっていきましょう。

Roza: Hello everyone. We are so glad to have you back for Friday’s review. This is Akino Roza.

Chris: I’m glad you remember your name, Roza. Chris McVay here. Yes, let’s get started on this wonderful review.

Ohnishi: それでは、今日もがんばっていきましょう。

Monday

Roza: OK everyone here is the question. Which of the following is true?

  1. Yoshi broke his leg.
  2. The woman doesn’t believe he is exhausted.
  3. The woman told him to do ten more sit-ups.

Tuesday

Chris: OK, here is the question. Is there a dress code for the meeting?

  1. Yes, everyone has to wear business casual.
  2. Yes, everyone has to wear sports gear.
  3. No, they can wear what they usually wear.

Listen up.

everyone は単数で has to になっています。

Wednesday

Roza: What is the man’s advice to the woman?

  1. To work hard.
  2. To enjoy different kinds of food.
  3. To always leave a tip.

Listen carefully.

Thursday

Chris: How did the man lose his room key?

  1. He put it on the buffet table.
  2. It fell out of his pocket.
  3. He left it at the restaurant.

Here we go.

fell は fall の過去形で、out of がついて「~から落ちる」です。

Ending

Roza: You know, a lot of people don’t like carrots, but if you get good and fresh ones, they are actually really delicious even if you eat them raw.

Chris: Yeah, when I was a kid, I hated carrots. But my parents kept telling me, “You know, carrots are great for your health, especially your eyes. You will be able to see in the dark. Then I started eating them, at all as you said all the time.

Ohnishi: I love carrots, you know, like a horse, right?

Ohnishi: というわけで今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye!

eat ~ raw で「~を生で食べる」です。英辞郎にもありました。

raw は形容詞だと思うのですが、こういう副詞のような使い方もあるんですね。

ここは最初 eat them all かと思いました。

great for your health と at all as you said は、(かなり)自信ないです。
