Opening

Chris: The first part seems just like yesterday. Maybe it was. Chris McVay here.

Ohnishi: それではさっそく始めていきましょう。

“Tell me about it” 3:57

Ohnishi: So, could you explain the nuance of this sentence?

Roza: Well, I think “Tell me about it” is really like saying “Yeah, I agree.”

Chris: Yeah, it actually means opposite. You don’t mean to “Tell me about it”, because I have exactly the same experience of feeling of time flying or getting old.

Practice 8:57

Roza: OK guys. Don’t worry. This part is not difficult to do, OK? “If you had asked me …” is ♫ありえない♪ and “… I would have helped you” is ♪ホンワカ♫ Got it? Great. All right, so let’s practice together. “If you had asked me, I would have helped you.”

Great, now let’s do one more time. “If you had asked me, I would have helped you.”

Perfect.

Ending

Ohnishi: If you had asked me, I would have helped you.

Chris: Ah, asked me what?

Ohnishi: If you had asked me, I would have helped you.

Chris: I’m asking you, what?

Ohnishi: I’m just practicing.

Roza: Hey Sensei, if you had asked me, I would have helped. いや、やっぱりありえない。

Ohnishi: でホンワカ。と言うわけで今日はこの辺で。

All: Bye.
