Opening
This is Akino Roza.
David: And I’m David Evans. It’s great to hear your feeling better, Sensei.

Practice 9:30
David: All right everyone. It’s time for today’s practice. Today’s phrases are important for many reasons but the big one is this. It’s OK to say that you don’t agree with someone’s idea. In English, we use phrases like this quite frequently, however the key point here is your intonation. Please pay careful attention to the way Roza and I say these phrases and practice that as well. OK? here we go.
- I can’t agree.
- That’s not true.
Roza: Let’s continue.
- That’s not how I see it.
- That’s not the way I see it.
- I don’t see it that way.
- I don’t feel that way at all.
David: All right. Let’s keep moving.
- I can’t go along with you on that.
- That’s not something I can agree on.
- That’s not my take on it.
Roza: OK, let’s do the last two.
- We’ll have to agree to disagree.
- Let’s agree to disagree.
David: Great work today.
Roza: Yeah, great job.
Ending
Ohnishi: Sushi is the best for lunch.
Roza: I completely disagree. I think yakiniku is the best to have for lunch.
Ohnishi: Hum, OK, let’s agree to disagree.
David: OK, but where are we gonna for lunch guys?
All: Bye.
