Opening
Roza:
Onishi:
Hey everyone. This is Akino Roza.
David: And I'm David Evans. I can tell from the contents, I mean, I think maybe, potato chips or snacks something. Umeboshi and rice?
Onishi: Yeah, home made umeboshi, you know?
Grasp the Concept
- I want you to do that.
- You want to back up your files regularly.
- Would you like some tea?
David: Great job.
Practical Usage
Would you like some advice? If you want people to admire you, the key is honestness. Of course it's better to be polite, you want to say the truth.

Pronunciation Polish 13:00
David: Would you like some advice on how to polish your pronunciation? Then, you've come to the right place. Let's jump in and start with today's sentence. Here we go. "Do you want me to go shopping with you?" ...
All right, we have a couple of points to zoom in on today, first up is - Do you. This is super high frequency, so these sounds will get nice and short. Do you ... just like that.
Next up, we have want, the /t/ sound will disappear. want me ...
Next up, we have to, again, nice and short with the /o/ sound. to ... to go ... to go shopping with you.
All right, let's put some chunks together and then build the full sentence. Do you want me ... to go shopping with you ... Do you want me to go shopping with you ...
All right, so there is another way to do this want + me, and that's just delete the /t/, want me ...
All right, let's practice that, too.
- Do you want me to go shopping with you?
All right, you are doing great. There is lots of high frequency, and very useful things here, so practice a lot, and make it your own.
Ending
Onishi: You want to tell the truth.
David: I ... but I wasn't lying.
Onishi: You want to tell the truth.
David: You can't handle the truth.
Onishi: I'm practicing.
Roza: David, I want you not to believe him when he says things like this.
David: But I want to believe.
Onishi:
All: Bye.
